Tonight I was preparing a milkshake for my kids to celebrate a perfect report at the dentist office this afternoon (ok, so maybe rewarding no caveties with sugar doesn’t make much sense – but it’s how we roll!) Anyway, as I was scooping the chocolate chip mint into the blender I thought to myself – why am I only making three milkshakes? It can be all too easy to overlook ourselves and forget to treat ourselves well.

Maybe it’s time to treat yourself to that great piece of art which inspires you each time you visit your favorite gallery. Maybe it’s a day hike in the hills to reconnect with the beauty of nature. Or, perhaps a trip to the spa for a day of pampering and to just simply relax and renew. The point is that sometimes we all just need to treat ourselves. Just like enjoying a milkshake with my kids probably helps me to be a happier mom – you might just provide better service to your clients after treating yourself to something you enjoy!
By the way, the milkshakes were a hit!
